Black at Brown & Beyond:
Careers, Community & Challenges
September 24-26, 2010

The Inman Page Black Alumni Council (IPC) invites you to the 2010 Black Alumni Reunion on September 24-26, 2010. Our theme is Black at Brown and Beyond: Careers, Community and Challenges.

The Black Alumni Reunion weekend festivities will coincide with Brown's annual Alumni Fall Weekend.  This reunion will be a unique opportunity to reconnect with friends from all class years as well as network with other Brown alumni and current students. It will provide a fun experience rich in intellectual exchange, reflection and pride in being a member of the Brown community.

Our programming areas of focus are Careers, Community and Challenges.  Various panel discussions will feature careers of accomplished alumni, discuss ways we can continue to build the Brown community and the Black community-at-large, and explore what it means to be Black in today's rapidly evolving "Age of Obama".  Please check the Schedule page on this website for further details.

Some of the additional social activities planned are a breakfast with President Ruth Simmons, an awards ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of some of our renowned alumni, and a party sponsored by the Alumni of Color Initiative, and an opportunity to fellowship at the Sunday Worship Service.

Let’s make the 2010 Black Alumni Reunion the largest and most memorable gathering of Black alumni in Brown's history! We sincerely hope that you will attend and spread the word to other alumni and friends.

Sincerely,

Inman Page Black Alumni Council (IPC)
